The Simple IVF Guide is written by two people who went through IVF, not by a clinic and not by a marketing agency. That shapes what we can and cannot tell you, so it is worth being clear about it.
Who writes these pages
Zayn Miah and R Khanom write everything here. Neither of us is a doctor, a nurse or an embryologist. What we have is two cycles, one failed transfer, six weeks of treatment abroad, a lot of receipts and the habit of writing things down.
What we do
- Answer the question in the first paragraph, then explain it properly.
- Explain published guidance and say who published it and when.
- Use plain English, and define the jargon rather than showing off with it.
- Say when something varies between clinics, because most of it does.
- Send you back to your own clinic for anything about your own treatment.
- Date every page and update it when the wording or the guidance changes.
What we will not do
- Invent statistics, averages or prices, including "approximate" ones.
- Invent a medical reviewer, a qualification or a study.
- Publish a testimonial or a patient story that a real person did not send us.
- Write a page just because a search term exists.
- Tell you what your chances are, or comment on your medication or your embryos.
- Take payment from a clinic to say something. If that ever changes, it will say so on the page.
منابع
Where a page relies on published guidance we link the original, name the publisher and record the date we last opened the link. The full list is on the sources page.
Medical review
No page here is described as clinically reviewed, because none of them has been reviewed by a named clinician yet. Our medical review policy explains what will change when that happens.
Getting something wrong
