Live birth rate
The proportion of treatment cycles or embryo transfers that result in the birth of at least one live baby.
In plain English
It's the percentage of cycles that end with an actual baby being born, the headline figure used to compare success rates.
Why it matters
It's the most meaningful outcome measure and is more useful for comparing clinics than pregnancy rate alone.
