Semen analysis
Also written as sperm test
A laboratory test that measures sperm count, movement (motility) and shape (morphology) in a semen sample.
In plain English
It's the standard lab test on a semen sample, looking at how many sperm there are, how well they move, and how normally they're shaped.
Why it matters
It's usually one of the first tests done in a fertility work-up and shapes whether treatment routes like ICSI are recommended.
